Movie posters have lots of text, but the text is distinctive of a movie poster. I made use of the fake movie poster template I'd created for the Aidan project, and made use of a recent pencil drawing of a piscivorous dragon (and which remains unfinished). Not quite believable as a poster for a wildlife special (the titular font style needs work at the least), but an amusing idea nonetheless. The watering-hole in the background was digitally painted in Photoshop and all its problems blurred.
I'd discovered earlier that using the eyedropper tool to steal the colors from a photo and then paint them onto a meager-at-best drawing yielded impressive results. It demonstrated for me the importance of the right color and the right value (though instructive, it still feels like cheating). Also, I'd learned that a painting that looked shoddy at-size looked better shrunken way down, as demonstrated here with the dragon's eye (always paint in high-res!).
