I painted this for my friend Don. He's always had an admirable enthusiasm for wildlife; in elementary school he knew dinosaurs better than I did (which is saying something). This is his pet frilled lizard. Jurassic Park (1993) portrayed a dinosaur with dubious likeness to this reptile, but I can appreciate the inspiration. This was a lot of fun to paint.
